If you can’t see all your photos — or no photos at all — in the photo picker while creating your Journi Print photobook, this is usually related to your device’s photo permissions.
Your phone protects your privacy by controlling which apps can access your photo gallery. If Journi Print does not have full access, you may only see some images or none at all.
If the Journi Print app does not have permission to access your photos, it cannot:
- Load images in the photo picker
- Display albums
- Upload pictures
- Generate your photo selection
To fix missing photos:
- Open Settings
- Scroll down and tap Journi
- Tap Photos
- Select Full Access
Then reopen the Journi Print app and check your photobook.
If you prefer to allow access to selected photos only:
- Choose Selected Photos
- Select the images you want to share
- Return to the Journi Print app
⚠️ Do not change or revoke access while your order is being created, as this may cause missing images.
To fix upload issues or missing photos:
- Open Settings
- Tap Apps
- Select Journi
- Tap Permissions
- Enable Photos / Media / Files
Then reopen the app and try uploading again.
If your device offers limited or selected media access:
- Choose selected photos only
- Pick the images you want to allow
- Return to the Journi Print app
⚠️ Do not change permissions while your order is being created.
Important:
- If you tap “Deny” multiple times, the permission pop-up may stop appearing. Enable it manually in Settings.
- Android may remove permissions for unused apps. Simply re-enable access before editing again.
